“When my boyfriend and I decided to travel to Tuscany this summer I knew we needed to go to City Turtle for some advice. Aurelia has a fantastic knowledge of the region and was able to advise on flights, which areas to visit, accommodation, restaurants and practically anything we needed to know! What was particularly helpful was the personal itinerary she designed with advice on how to go about visiting the more popular cultural sights along with where to find the hidden treasures that lay off the beaten track. The hotels that Aurelia booked for us such as Fattoria Mansi Bernardini in Lucca and Fattoria Viticcio in Greve in Chianti were of great quality and suited to our tastes (which not even hours of painstaking searching on trip advisor can assure). I would now recommend City Turtle to any of my friends looking to arrange the perfect hassle-free city break.”

“Dear city turtle (the fabulous Aurelia), thank you so much for the recommendations for the ultimate Dutch experience.
We recently went to Amsterdam, and needless to say we contacted Aurelia for advice on where to go. The next day, we had a long email through with recommendations for places to visit, shop, wine and dine. Our personalised itinerary included renting bikes, strolling along the nine streets and picnics in Vondel Park. A must for brunch/ coffee was ‘Brederoo’, a little cafe on the canal with homemade cakes to die for! We also enjoyed the Heinenken museum – the best bit being the free beers at the end (and an interesting cycle ride home!) We’d highly recommend Brasserie Harkeema for dinner – especially on the weekend when the dining room turns into a make shift club with great music. Thank you so much!”
And on Hvar:
“Arch and I went last month. Was amazing! You’re article is so good, you’ve named all the best bits. It’s definitely all about Hvar this year!”

“Just before Christmas I went to Paris for a long weekend using City Turtle’s recommendations and we could not have had a better trip. Our venture up to the Montmatre for one of the best views of Paris did not disappoint followed by a delicious hearty meal at Le Coupe Chou, just a few of the detailed, honest and spot on recommendations by City Turtle.
The best thing about our entire trip was the ease of using City Turtle to plan everything from where to stay to where to get the best falafel. City Turtle takes away the pain of scouring hundreds of websites for tips, but digs out the true gems of Paris all in one place. What a find!”

“Aurelia - this site is fantastic! Congratulations! I followed some of your pointers in Rome. Which, by the way, is the most fabulous city.
We had a lot of fun in Freni e Frizioni. The Vatican was mind boggling, and oh to live in Trastevere!
Loved the Borghese Park – and would suggest your followers hire electric bicycle buggies…perfect for exploring the park and annoying the locals!
Do you suggest a coffee at Caffe Canova-Tadolini? Good idea for a ‘spash out’ option!! Near the Spanish steps.”

“I decided to take on a French food marathon [in Paris] instead, packing in almond croissants near the Bois de Vincennes, rose and mint macarons from the Pierre Hermé concession in the Galeries Lafayette, a celebratory plate of poulet rôti with frites in the wonderful Chartier restaurant and a late night crêpe with Nutella by the Moulin Rouge. (Incidentally, I have discovered a lovely little new website guide called City Turtle which I blame for all of this and also highly recommend)”
