Restored in mid-2011, this is the trendiest food market I have come across. Being here makes you want to spend your weekend’s budget on food. It is beautifully done and all the food stalls will offer something different and unique. Even better is that you are surrounded by locals rather than tourists. The second floor has lots of tapas and food take-away places, while the top floor has a lovely restaurant terrace which overlooks Madrid. It can get very crowded though, so be prepared to wait.
