This ‘secret garden’ is a great date place – it’s intimate, fun and eccentric. The interior reminds me of a shabbier version of Mr Foggs (one of my favourite London bars), with hot air balloons hanging from the ceiling, large tigers painted on the walls and Indian material draped over the walls, it feels a little like you’ve walked into Aladdin’s Cave.
It is filled with Spanish locals and, despite being a hidden gem, is very popular, so you must reserve a table. From black seafood risotto to ‘torre de la hamburgeruassas’ (tower of hamburgers) – this place has something for everyone.
Try and get a window seat. After dinner you can wander down Calle de las Palmas, a cool bar-filled street, for a post-dinner drink.
